In what Aquinas Academy geography teacher Mike Flynn called one of the greatest GeoBee finals in the 18-year history of the event, Michael Greppi, a fifth grade student at Aquinas Academy, emerged victorious and has qualified to move on to the state geography bee competition.

In a competition that took 40 questions to crown a champion, 10 students in grades four to eight competed in front of the student body.

The championship round came down to Michael and eventual runner-up, fourth grader Sam Ennis, in an epic battle that required three tiebreakers.
