Civil War Jeopardy being hosted at Hampton Community Center

On March 16, at 7 p.m. the Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Round Table will host Civil War “Jeopardy!” The event is free and open to the public.

Unified Bocce reschedules home game
Hampton school district’s Unified Bocce team, made up of 10 students of all abilities, is rescheduling its sole home game to March 20 at 3 p.m. at the Hampton High School gym. The game was originally scheduled for Feb.7 against Norwin High School, but had to be canceled due to the school’s snow day.
Currently, the team is composed of 10 players, from grades nine through 12, half of which are general education students and half are special education students.
Band group to host market, craft fair
The Hampton Band Association will host their Flea Market Craft Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 21 at Hampton High School.
Donations are being sought. People are asked to bring donations to Hampton High School between 3 and 8 p.m. March 20.
It is asked that all donations be in fair to good condition. All proceeds go to the Hampton student band.

The Elfinwild Lions Club is holding an Oldies Dance on March 21, 7:30-11:30 p.m. at St. Ursula’s Church Hall on Duncan Avenue. Hot sausage, hot dogs, macaroni salad, snacks and brownies will be served. Beer and pop are also included. The cost is $20 per person, $35 per couple.

Vendors sought for farmers market
Hampton Township is accepting applications from vendors for the farmers market which is scheduled to begin June 3. Farm fresh produce, homemade items, baked goods, jams/jellies, are just some of the items as potential offerings.
The market, which will take place on the Community Park in Hampton Township, will operate weekly on Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. The market is a rain or shine event that continues through Oct. 14.

On April 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., a quilting lecture will be held at the Depreciation Lands Museum, 4743 S. Pioneer Road, Allison Park. The lecture will be presented by Kimberly Chaffee who will share an overview of quilting through the ages and its impact on community and friendship in Colonial communities.
General admission is $8, or $5 for Depreciation Lands Museum members. Pre-paid registration is required.
