Forty students from the University of Pittsburgh were in Hampton to remove invasive species from Crouse Run Nature Preserve. The volunteers then planted native shrubs and berry bushes on Oct. 19 to improve the health of the preserve . It was part of the 12th annual Pitt Make A Difference Day where thousands of students volunteered to help their community in a variety of ways.

The is the second year that some of those volunteers from Pitt showed up at Crouse Run for a day of work.
