There will be a workshop, broken into three sessions, at the Hampton Community Center from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 22 that addresses opioid use as well as the dangers of vaping.

Hosted by the Hampton Community Opioid Partnership, in the first session experts will share facts about the opioid crisis in this country as well as strategies to help combat the problem.

The second session will focus on the dangers of vaping and tools parents can use to prevent their children from ever even trying it. This session will include how marijuana and other drugs are being used in combination with vaping products and the medical problems that can arise from it.

In the final session, a question-and-answer period will be held where five experts will field queries from the floor. The community is invited to attend.

The Hampton Community Center is located at 3101 McCully Road, Allison Park.
