Is He Dead?” focuses on the fictional version of the great French painter, Jean-Francois Millet, who is an impoverished artist living in Barbizon, France. With the help of his colleagues, he stages his own death in order to increase the value of his paintings. Following his fake death, Millet dresses as a woman to keep his secret safe.
